The first time I ever stood on Stage as a Stand up Comic was in 1993 at Florence Ave Foursquare Church. I was 19 and I never thought about it again! I did ok , I guess but life got in the way of being funny. It wasn't until November of 2004 when I spoke to a friend and was given the advise to ........ Well that story is kind of private but the end result lead my to the next open mic where I did my second stand up act ever. The crowd went crazy and it was the worst thing that could have ever happened. I was now a "stand up comic" and did very little after that except tell everyone how great I was ( one night in Bend Oregon). After I realized I had to keep my job, I started working on "the act". I hit a couple of shows in Bend but nothing to really talk or care about. I realized that I had to get to the big city.

    Harveys in Portland was the biggest comedy place to me. I knew i had to get up there, do the open mic , get noticed, get a gig, make a million bucks, and move to Trinidad.

    July 5th thur the 8th was my first gig at Harveys. I did pretty good. The last day was the best. It only took 6th times but I got it. I was paid , not enough to move to Trinidad but we did pay some bills.

    I've found what I really like to do. I hope with all my heart the I can someday do this full time. My dream is to be at home with the kids in the day time and when they go to bed I can go to work. But even if I don't and all I ever do is work Monday thur Friday and get to do some comedy on the weekends, then I will die a very happy man. But the reason I thought about doing comedy was the question " what can I do for a few hours a night make good money so I can spend the day with the Family." This was the only thing I could think of.
